16th November 2009 - Barbican Brass provide music for the National Lottery’s 15th Anniversary celebrations

14th September 2009 - Appleby Concert
Last Saturday, Barbican Brass delighted an audience with an evening concert at the Appleby Music Festival. The programme included the World Premiere of Andrew Brinsford’s Brass Quintet. The commission was very well received by a wonderful enthusiastic audience which included Cellist Justin Pearson and Muso Reporter, Abi Bliss.

21st July 2009 - Philip Cobb appointed Principal Trumpet LSO
Barbican Brass would like to congratulate member Philip Cobb on his appointment as Principal Trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra whilst only 21 years of age. This is testament to Philip's wonderful playing and we look forward to hearing him play with the Orchestra throughout what looks set to be a prolific career.
21st July 2009 - October recitals
Due to Philip's hectic schedule, he will not be performing with the Quintet for the recitals on October 22nd and 24th. We are grateful to Simon Munday for agreeing to fill in. Simon is a splendid player and we are looking forward to his contributions to the Group.
