David Kendall (tuba)
Dave has been the tuba player with the John Wilson Orchestra since 2012.
Since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2007 his career has taken him all over the world, as far a field as Japan, China and the U.S. working in a wide range of styles and ensembles.
A tuba player in high demand, Dave has been fortunate to work with some of the UK’s leading orchestras; as trialist with the BBC Scottish Symphony and National Orchestra of Wales and as guest principal with the London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, Bournemouth and BBC Symphony & Concert Orchestras.
He also has experience playing in London’s West End in Chicago, Barnum & The Scotsboro’ Boys and with the Heritage Orchestra; a 30 to 60 piece orchestra that collaborates with present day artists from the mainstream and experimental worlds of music and art.
As well as this kind of work Dave is also enthusiastic about his activities with Barbican Brass; performing formal recitals, more relaxed engagements and working with young musician across the UK.
